Just hot back from annual Colaraddy trip. This was the first year to go with new Frankenlift so I was extra wound up about goin this year. Here's a couple pics of the first stop in the Canejo valley.

I think mud colored rims would look great.
At this point smooth sailing was the name of the trip. There were little detours...

But nothin to freak about.... until i noticed.

So the Frankenlift advice. EVEN IF YOUR NEWLY LIFTED KJ RUNS STRAIGHT AS A CHEROKEE'S ARROW DOWN THE STREET
:!: :!: :!: GET IT ALLIGNED :!: :!: :!:
So it was toed in and the 1000 mile drive on hot Texas pavement melted that sucker somethin fierce on the passenger side. So in interest of insanity we kept wheelin till we got to a city where we could look for tires.
The topo showed a nice Jeep trail From Elwood Pass over towards Creede.

Showin some new found muscles
18 miles and 3 crazy ascent/descents, countless deep water crossings, ton O brush makin a joke of the clear coat (come on buffer). And then we ran into this then this.

The latter was followed by a crater made by a natural gas pipeline explosion. Runnin low on gas, lookin into a moon size crater, running on racing slicks, remembering a sign we past a few miles back...

My OME HD lift.. drove relatively fine too, straight at least... But the Allignment shop was really worried on the numbers till I told them it was just lifted.

That'd be a expensive opps after too tires.

Hmm, a signt hat says ROAD CLOSED do to public saftey, and you decide to go anyhow. I used to think it was the locals that ruined things for us. Guess not.

Since you just added the FLift, looks like you needed an excuse to get bigger, better tires. Congrats, I don't think anyone could come up with a better reason than the look of that tire!

Looks like an awesome trip. Thanks for posting.

Scott
