Nice terrain. It's nice they let you access the land on the base. Nothing like that in Groton, Conn. at the sub base I was stationed out of when I was in the Navy .

yes, they are. I could have aired down and it would of helped, and also if i had removed my front sway bar.

Oh and modular, this is the Air Force Base's Weopeans test facility, so when they aren't testing they are selling yearly passes to enjoy the land they blow up.

So what's the chance of running over a bomb or something that didn't go off

hahaha

well, they actually made us watch a video about UXO's before we left to go out there. It pretty much says theres everything out there from shotgun rounds, to Rockets, to greandes, to 5,000LB bombs. they pretty much say, stay the H*ll away and report it to them.

But I only saw a few simulation rounds laying around.

If my KJ had to go...thats how I'd want him to go, and I think he agrees. :D

Thanks Hood, for the video.I've been pushing this place since i joined the lost forum. No one seemed interrested.
I'd like all you "Down Right" brethren to think about making a trip there.I've been wheel'n there
since i pulled out of Hill Kelly jeep of Pensacola.I know the area of HWY87 perty good, and would be glad to
take everyone for a wild ride.
And yes there are munition, bombs and the such throughout the gazillion acres of trails.
My uncle lives off HWY87 and every night the house shakes with 500 pounders and all
the other bombs in the arsenal. They don't all go off.
So far I've never wheeled at a better place.

I'd like to set up an early winter weekend ride/camptrip.Too many deerflys and skeeters to camp right now.
Anybody interested?Full?JL?Come on guys...This place rocks!!!

Oh yea,Hood, you could get your pass taken away for going in the sand pits. The whole Emereld Coast Jeepers
got their passes snatched for a month, with warnings of a year snag the next time.
Bub

Nice HOOD!

Wish I could have joined you. When I went I was only on the property for about 2 hours
but had a blast. I can't wait to go again.

Bub, Set up a date and I will try to be there.

Scott
