The strangest noise developed in the right rear shock area.
Sounded like a shock was loose.
So, we checked the tightened the bolts but the noise persisted.
Finally took the shocks off and changed the bolts around.
I do not like the way the shocks are in the mounts, shocks are Rancho, any ideas?.

The liquid nails was ok but the puck slipped over and was reattached with Gorilla Goo.

I need spacers on the shock ends.
The longer Rancho RSX 17004 shock ends are narrower than the stock Liberty shocks.
Stainless washers were suggested any other ideas....

On the 2006 CRD you NEED to get the brake line extender for the rear line off the axle...before you "flex" it off... AllJs has them

Installed the part, a 4" piece of 2"x3" box tubing with 2 holes, a nut and bolt, for $43.00 from All J Products.
Not a off roader but ripping out a brake line at the worst possible time is not smaart.
Appreciate the reference Darby.

The stock springs had sagged so when the new OME springs were installed the lift seemed too high to me.
It was the shock spacers that do not come with the rear non-AllJ's Rancho's.
12 5/8" steel washers for $4 did the trick.
No more instability.
Sweet lift.

Thanks for the info on the OME springs, that's why my friends '05 2.8crd is so un-level with the 927's fitted....

I know Koni make OEM adjustable dampeners for the KJ. Not sure if you can use them though.

I think you can. But nobody is running them and they are expensive! $155 a piece.. Tire rack hase them too.

KONI

Front 8240-1201SPX
Rear 8240-1202SPX

When I need new shocks/struts this will be my choice. $155 is not expensive for adjustable dampeners. Koni has always had a good reputation as well.
