If we do get 20. I think we should plan to split into two groups.. I want to wheel!

I know a coulple of KJ's didn't survive the badlands... :x
If anyone has any spare parts... Old A-arms, cv's, etc.... They should bring them...just in case
The badlands can be a little rough in places.. the more KJ's the more chance of breaking (a lot has to do with the driver and knowing when to stop, etc) but crud happens... Might as well bring toilet paper!

Wow! if we get 20, we should split into 3 or 4 groups. 5-7 jeeps is a pretty good group, 10 makes the going slow.

I'd be glad to lead a newbie group, but would like to hit the harder trails later in the day once we've had some fun.

Last year I think we were pushing the limits of group size (I think we had close to 10?)... it got a little slow and was hard for the last guy to see/follow the leader.

Orange Trail has been re-routed a bit at the beginning - now it has a different entrance and there is an additional 500 yards or so of new trail and a hard to do first big obstacle.
it is a muddy hill where you need lots of speed to get over to the top, but bad news is that there is no place to get that speed going - there is a lot of mud at the bottom - i'd suggest somebody with lockers and good tires goes first on this trail - specially for this spot - Scott might be the one... :)
The rest of orange has been kept the same although they made some improvements on some sections - it has become a bit easier to find the markings for the trail. - Once you get to the bottom where all the mud holes are, we just skipped them altogether - too many chances of falling into one of them and some can be pretty deep. - once out on the sand, instead of getting out left , find your way to the right onto the other part of orange. The have also made a couple of things on the entrance to the Rock Garden - This can be pretty much done on a KJ if you are careful and not spin the front and do have proper boulder bars - it is a 2 block long rock garden.
Unfortunately I'm out of this one for sure - my son will be coming to this world on the 26th of Oct.

Definitely congrats!
Also - I'm getting new skins - the Duelers finally gave in (only 50,000 miles after you had them) - any interest in your Low pressure sensors?

We missed last year - this year is looking better...
Are there other lodging options, wife is not much of a "tent" camper.

it looks like there are some hotels in or near attica

the Hotel Attica is supposedly a haunted hotel if you want to get into the Halloweeny spirit

You could go visit what used to be a hotel... The Mudlavia Hotel and Spa is also reported to be a haunted site not too far from attica

Note:
At Hotel Attica, most rooms have a shared bathroom

don't forget... there is the ATTICA INN - on rt 28 just minutes from Downtown Attica behind the jeep dealership

I'm in. I can't miss this event. Nothing better than a fall run at the badlands. 8)

I'm thinking I may be wheeling this one...I would gladly lead a newbie group if we get enough to seperate into diff. groups. I'm not going hardcore...orange seems like it has always been risky in a under-equipped dd.

I'll stay tuned to this thread for sure...
