rustys .75 lift

I have a clevis lift and and a rear isolator and i just am not satisfied. Since i put the rear isolator on it dosent sit really level. I have 4 nuts for the clevis lift also. i was wondering can you add rustys .75 spacers to the clevis lift?? Also how much lift would JUST the .75 spacers give me with out the clevis. And how esay is it to do and is it worth it. Also how much stiffer would the ride be??[/i]

you should get 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 inches of lift
Easy to do, just drop the whole springs / strut assembly down out and install the spacer on top
ride will be the same
will need an alignment afterwards

you will never be satisfied until you do a full coil lift with OME springs :wink:

after that you will not be satisfied until you do a SFA :twisted:

just the way your mind works :wink:

With the .75in spacer you will need to have the coil overs taken apart. You should be just fine doing a clevis lift along with adding that spacer.

Tommudd is thinking of a OTT spacer.

I thought he was just getting one of the top plates that Rustys sell which is just a flat plate and easy to install, putting in a 3/4 inch spacer to me is a waste of time and energy, why not do a good lift and be done :shock:

in about a year im going to try to get the ARB front bumper, and i was thinking of going with the .75 poly spacer inside the front assembly like the frankenlift. even though i have the OME HD springs, i still like the look of the frankenlifts with that extra hieght in front with that internal spacer. BUT, instead of the factory top plates, dont you need a different one? does anybody have a closeup picture of what the frankenlift top spacer looks like?

yea i might do the strut plates. has any one done it before and do they like it?? Also at rustys is it $29 for a pair or 1??? The reason i am not putting a good lift on it is b/c it is only 2wd and i don't intend to be offroading in it. But you never know when the opprotinity might show up!!! I just want it to look alittle more aggresive. Also it really lifts it over a 1inch?? What about the coil spacers, how much will they lift you??

Another thing, this is considered an over the top lift right?? With the put on can it really do damage to you vehicle over time? Can the .75 coil spacers over time tear up you vehicle also??

you can run the flat top plate that Rustys sell and should give you no problems at all, can even keep the clevis lift. will give you about 1 1/2 to 1 3/4 at least of total lift, noticeable , easy to do and fairly cheap, don't have to tear your springs apart etc.

Im confused about something. Pretty sure the .75in spacer is the spacer that goes INSIDE of the coil over. The OTT spacer is just a flat piece of steel that is not .75in thick.

you are right but we have discussed both the in spring .75 inch spacer that will give you an 1 1/2 or so, with the FLAT top plate (not an OTT lift ) it will give you an inch of lift almost, then depending on how much clevis he has another 1/2 to 3/4 so total lift of 1.5 to 1.75 of lift

so now am I confused or someone else :shock:

haha, I think everyone is on the same page.

Only thing I worry with those OTT spacers, if you add that and also do a clevis lift the upper ball joint may hit the spring. Idk how many spacers it takes to cause the shock to bottom out before the bump stop hits either.

To answer your question donnie, yes, you can. Just gotta watch that upper balljoint and the shocks.

The 3/4" internal poly spacer will net 1 1/2".
Rusty's 1/4" spacer plate will net 1/2".
Rocky Roads 3/8" trim spacer plate will net 3/4" and is used with the 3/4" internal poly spacer to make up the RRO 2.125" combo lift.
