I bough a new hitch to solve the spare tire problem and also bought a new ball with the 1 1/4" shank that is torqued to 450 ft lb.

Which is best:

1) Blue Loctite?
2) Antisieze?
3) Dry?
4) Light Oil?

Dry, at four hundred and fifty pounds is it ain't going to come loose but red will keep it on for good If you ever want to remove it never sieze would be good. Have you turned your spare tire mount over? It raises the tire a inch or more and tucks the bottom inward. The back glass still clears it when opening with stock tires but it's close. I did that for my caming trailer and didn't need a longer tounge thing or extended reciever

I torqued mine dry with my 450ft-lb gun. You want some friction to hold it when the coupler is rotating on the ball, but you want to be able to remove it with the same 450ft-lb gun too.

when i hook up to the boat i judge by the spare tire to get it centered up then i get out and open the door and finish backing up. when i get it all hooked up i cut the wheel hard to the right and pull up a bit then i get out and close the door.....

This hitch was supplied by Towing Products, Plymouth, MI and has up to 1,000 lb transfer (more than I need) and 10,000 lb capacity (should handle 7,000 lbs). The 10,000 lb ball I picked up today is from Curt Manufacturing, but not in the photos yet.
