Is this normal? When I engage 4 lo I get a clicking from the front when the wheels start to spin. It never happens any other time or in 4lo at all unless I'm spinning tires. Is this just something in the mechanical make up or is something wrong?

clicking is not normal.

Clicking when turning? Or all the time? Does it go away on different surfaces?

So youre saying this happens when the front tire loose traction and spin?

Are you sure its going into 4parttime when in low? Its possible the linkage needs to be adjusted and its not fully locking.

Yep, only when I'm spinning. It's definitely in 4lo and not slipping out that's very evident when switching back into 4hi. Would the linkage adjustment be on the lever or the TCase?

The tcase.

It may be in 4low but the front and rear axles may not be locked together. Ive had it happen but simply putting the tranny in N and letting it roll back or forward then going back to D let it pop right in.

Just throwing ideas out.. You may some something differnet going on.

I'll play with it again next time but I've tried shifting all kinds of different ways and it's done it every time. So I don't think it would just pop back in for me. Is there any thing at all that I could check for my self or is this going to be a dealer only fix?

If something is wrong with the tcase then its dealer(given its under warranty).

Sure its not the traction control making noises? Ive never been in a Jeep with traction control while it was spinning so idk what its sounds like.

1. It's not under warranty, that's what scares me!

2. I'd kinda hoped it was the traction control but I'm not sure if it would do that. I can spin the rears and it won't do it even when the ESP kicks in. It's done it for a while with no ill effects so far.
