OK JHCRASH, I'm in! I've sent you the details and I cannot resist anymore now that my plastic bumper is both at Costco and at home simultaneously :roll:

Seems like other dudes in WA are interested, maybe we can hire someone to deliver cheap :?:

Just 4" driving lights from Advance Auto $39.99, to fill the holes till I can get a good pair. not even hooked up yet.....

What was the cost compared? to replacing with a factory bumber?

A new factory bumper cover is about $100.

Look at the orig. front end, then the after, WHICH WOULD YOU WANT?

First full tank of fuel, 24.8 mpg now vs. 22.7 mpg before bumper, combined city/hwy (mostly in town) driving. will find out what the hwy mpg is the first week of Feb.

The reason I'm asking isn't for off-road performance so much, its anti-Bambi-armoring. I don't want what happened to one of my previous cars to happen again. That cost me the entire front end AND a fender. And I didn't even get the venison steak, b/c it was too dark to find the carcass.

You should search though the other forums to find out how many people sent money vs. how many actually received bumpers. I am sure the guy is nice, but he wrote a check to the community that he could not cash. There is a locked thread that went south pretty quickly. I recommend saving your money for something else. Fair warning.

Thats still a problem? I saw some of those comments in the threads that LiL linked to... But the dates were pretty far back. Oh well.

Of the aftermarket bumpers, which would be the lightest that would still offer both a receiver and front tow points? Those are really the only features I 'must have' as the brush guard / Bambi shield can be fabricated to bolt on.

the biggest kick in the teeth for me was that people that ordered bumpers after me got theirs and i am still twisting in the wind....

jason said he was working on it a month ago....havent heard antying since the 22nd of aug.

It is too bad that this problem has happened with Jason getting the bumpers made, I think he has a great product if it can be produced.

He might patent it and sell the plans so someone can make them....

If he could get a patent on a bumper and he actually found someone to buy the patent from him, he would need to use the money to pay everyone back. The new manufacturer would not owe anything to the peeps he screwed.
