I'll be gone until the end of Jan. If you guys want to plan on an offroad trip in Feb. let me know. I'll try to get with Steve and figure out some cool places to go in Ocala National Forest

That should give everybody plenty of time to work on lifts. I'm not leaving until mid Jan. so if someone wants to try the lift before then let me know, I'll see if I can help out.

Wes

Hey guys, it sounds tricky but I'm sure we can make the lifting and trail rides happen evenutally. And why don't we have a LOST chapter yet? What do we have to do? I think we've got enough for a crew, don't you? My dad can even get us shirts and stickers for discounted rates (he sells advertising specialties)

OK, I have a time off request pending and if all works out I will have jan 7 and 8 off (saturday & sunday) This looks to be the best time in the near future for me to do this. If I cant get it done then I probably wont be able to take time off on a weekend after my vacation in order to get it done then. So if you can make it those days let me know. I hope to know for sure in the next day or so.

Ok, I'm off Jan. 7th and 8th. I could come down to Clearwater on the 7th. I think it's only about a two hour drive. Steve how's that date look for you? I should be able to go that Sat. If you can go I'll meet up with you and car pool over. Sam, which kit where you installing? If you have the jeep jacked up and the tires off the rest will go pretty quick except the front struts. Depending on the type of lift the front struts can be a pain.

I can get off the 7 & 8 most likely. I'll ask now. My boss is pretty good about it as long as we ask in advance.

Ok my time off good oked so I am good to go for that weekend. The lift I have is the RRO rockfather stage 2. If you check out my car domain site you can see a pic of all the main parts that came. There are some little pieces that came with the shocks also. For those of you that can make it i'll get us food and what not for the day so no worries about lunch and all. I'll pm my cell to everyone who says then can make it and directions to my house also. I'm so stoked!

Yeah I would think we have enough people to create our own chapter. If there is interest from everyone here I can start looking at getting things together and think about logos. Also in the vein of this post, let me know when you can if you will be able to help me with my lift jan 7th. The more notice the better so I can plan for how much food to get and what not.

Don't worry to much about food and stuff. We will just show up and help out. If we can get a group together on Jan. 7th and exchange information that would be great. What we can do is start out with a email super list. If you want I'll try to set it up. Email me at wesleymiller007@earthlink.net. I will try to put a list together for the Florida Lost Group. The first email I send out should have everyones email on it. Then you can click "reply all" and talk to everyone. That would make it a bit easier to setup offroad trips and group meetings.

Just a thought,

Wes

I'm going to try to attend on saturday, jan 7.....I'll know in a couple more days....I agree you don't need to worry about food....

do you have a driveway or garage space to jack up the jeep for several hours?....

my thoughts on a florida lost group....maybe we should meet first and shake hands before asking to set up a official section....demonstrate that there is something of substance to all this chatter....I was fortunate to meet some of the folks from some of the other regions and they take great pride in what the lost thing is all about...

maybe we could plan a trail ride for when wes "redjeepCRD" returns from his volunteer work....maybe february?.....in the mean time we could get a few more of the KJ's lifted, etc...everyone should be asking for a inexpensive cb radio setup for christmas....that makes getting together a lof of fun....

it's cool that something is beginning to take shape for our region....

I agree with Steve. Let's get something going but lets do it right. Steve maybe since you know some of the guys out West maybe you can contact them and get some pointer on what we should do. A Feb. ride sounds good to me. I think Jan. 7th will be a good time to meet everyone that wants to show up to help. If you can't show up there maybe you can show up for a ride in Feb.

CB's are cheap enough. Everyone should be able to get your hands on one. If your like me and your wife won't let you mount an antenna, then a magnet mount setup is the way to go.

Perfectly good example from Walmart. http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product. ... id=3922099

Jeepmed I'm located on Clearwater if you can make it that would be great, the more the better.
Camper I do have a big driveway that will work and I'll be getting jackstands when I get the chance. I've been meaning to get them but havent gotten around to it. I have some tools (some got lost when I moved to where I am now) so if you want to bring anything you think would be helpful or required just in case that would be great. I'll have the entire day to get it lifted so time wont be too much of a factor.

As for the LOST florida chapter. I would be fine with waiting till we all meet up a few times before we decide if we want to officially organize something.

As for cbs I have a handheld one about 10 years old or so. It should work fine for trails close range until i can get something better.

Wes I'll email that link and get that going.

Sam

January 7th should be good for me as well.... barring unforseen circumstances...

DispatchedKJ, please email your address to me at
lmuga@tampabay.rr.com

A LOST chapter for Fl sounds like a good idea, and judging from the sheer # of KJ's on the roads here, if you could just get the word out and start handing out flyers every chance you get I'm sure it would take off... however, I personally just don't have time to do more than just make the occasional trail ride once or twice a year.

Keep me posted please!

Luis
