Definite improvement i would say in overall performance but then i also cleaned up the map sensor that was caked in soot, did the EHM
and removed the cat and free flowed the rear muffler so it's difficult to say but in miles per gallon at least 1 to 2 at the moment. Once again it comes down to driving style
and the exhaust mod alone made me want to tramp the gas pedal through the floorboards for awhile as she felt so responsive and faster turbo spooling helping as well.

I used the fire extinguisher trick on a humvee that ran away and it worked extremely well. I was surprised on how well it worked. Yet another reason to have an extinguisher in your vehicle.

You don't suppose that the engine in that car had any problems before this happened? One clue might be if you don't need the rear view mirror anymore because you can't see behind you because of all the smoke!

You fire the extinguiser into your engines intake, thereby removing the oxygen from the engine which stops the engine. Just make sure you don't use the extinguisers with dust in them or you will dust your engine.

I am assuming the fire extinguisher needs to be CO2.

CO2 fire extinguisher would be best, dry chemical would clog your air cleaner unless you are using a K&N that is showing light through it, then your engine would be dusted.

It'll be best if you describe what you did first.

My jeep is chipped by KermaTDI and have had no CELs. The tuning was supposed to turn off or reduce my EGR as much as possible. I wonder if I will get a CEL with the stock tuning. Has anyone else tried this without any chip tuning? Have you had any CELs?

I am going to flash mine back to stock and see what happens. If I get a CEL, I will clear it and flash it back to the tuning I have now. Either way, I am not going to have my butterfly valve in my Jeep.

I have a blocking plate before the EGR and pulled the butterfly out of the FCV. I can clear the code but it returns after about 3-5 mins. I originally had the MAF unpluged, and it would clear the CEL after a few cycles after being reconnected... Other than that just a EHM..

I still have not had a cel after the mod and that's now close to two weeks, have you reconnected the maf, and fcv connectors?

I missed reconnecting the FCV at first too. For some stupid reason, I missed it. I reconnected it and the CEL went off a couple of starts later.

Try disconnecting the battery for about 5mins.

I checked the FCV and MAF and cleaned the MAP all were good. I unplugged and reconnected them and reset the P0401 CEL, I'll road test tonight and see.

I set my tuning back to stock and got the P0401 CEL on the second start up. I cleared it and it came back on the second start up again. I flashed the tuning back to the Kerma Tune and cleared the CEL and it hasn't returned after multiple starts. It looks like the Kerma Tune has blocked the CEL from coming on. That is what I requested when I got the tune. Does anyone want me to put the butterfly back in and see if I get a CEL with the EGR blocked off only?

That way if anyone wanted the EGR disabled you could get the Kerma tune and put a block of plate on the EGR and you're done, no messing with the FCV.

I am leaving my Jeep is. Kerma Tune, no butterfly in the FCV and a block of plate on the EGR. I rest a lot easier knowing there is no EGR going back to my intake!

I did not make it to the end of the driveway and my CEL was back :( I might be checking into your Kerma tune.

I'm going to reverse it to see if it will clear. I think I may have other issues...
