lol...it didnt hit me till just now that I don't have a front diff...is there anything up front I need to change oil in at all? Or is it just the rear diff, trans, motor and t-case? Well...zerk points too...speaking of which...does anybody have a site that has a list or map of all the zerks on this thing? Would like to hit them all and not miss any.
Since no front diff then you also have no t-case.Like said before no grease zerks also.Almost all newer vehicles come with a sealed system,no grease zerks at all since many never bother greasing them anyway.

Sorry for reviving this old thread but I have another question on this. Don't I have to have a front diff since it is 4WD? How does that work? Im trying to narrow down a grinding noise I get while turning and moving. No grinding if I am stationary and just turning the wheels...but while moving it grinds and only while turning. I need to make sure I lube everything that needs it and change all the oils properly. This thing is nothing like my XJ.

The KJ has a Independent Front Suspension (IFS.)

The front diff is aluminum and you should see it if you look under the vehicle. If you are having trouble finding, just follow the front driveshaft from the transfercase to the diff.

Grinding while turning could be a lot of things. The one popping into my head right now is that oil (of some type) is sloshing to the side while in the turn and this creates a no oil condition for whatever part is grinding.

Haven't you changed the oils in that thing yet?

Ive changed all but my diffs and TCase. Those will be next soon as I get the cash to do so. It really doesnt feel like the Diffs though...honestly feels like its in the wheel hubs somewhere.

I have the 2007 KJ and run the Amsoil recommended 0W20. Those of you who have the 2002-2006 can run the Amsoil 0W30
