Thanks for your response...
As far as suspension goes, can I run Rusty's 2.5" Coil Spring Suspension kit and add Rusty's 2" Poly Strut Spaces to that kit? Will that help me with all the rubbing issues and what not?
I am new to all this so I need to clear some things up...
Pounding the pinch weld? I have heard alot about this but don't know exactly what it is...
Are there any aftermarket fender flares that I can purchase for the KJ in order not to have to cut my fender flare and liner?
combining suspension kits will get you nothing but trouble really, and Rustys have the same spring rate as stock so you are notupgrading anything,
why not go OME springs, Rancho shocks, a clevis lift and you will have the 2.5 or more inches you need. springs shocks about 650
OME heavy Duty springs front OME927, Rear OME 948
shocks front Rancho RSX 17505, Rear RSX 17004
No there are
no fender flares available except for stock at this time..until Rock Lizard does some ...hint...hint
PINCH WELDs If you look at the rear of the fender well behind the front tires you will see a small section sticking out forward, this is where the pinch weld is , there are various writeups on here about how to do it or ask and we can explain further
also with that wide of a tire and 4 inches of backspacing you will have to make sure you have some really good
bumpstops in there as well. Two hockey pucks drilled through the center and bolted down to the spring perch in the rear works great and for the front Teraflex part # 0019301200 were about 17 bucks each
My Moabs with 5 inches of backspacing has the wheel/tire right at the edge of the fenderwell, 4 inches will have it on out and hitting more
