I'd say the emissions controls are not monitored as closely since you (presumably) have an export model.

I would be interested to hear from Turbo Tim why my model is not throwing a CEL after i did the EGR and FCV.

I would have to believe that since you are outside the US, you have a different emissions control program. How and why I couldn’t answer unless I could see and touch it. I could then compare it to the US version and give an answer then.

Well I knew this mod was too good to be true, at least for US models. Sounds like the Kerma tune is the key to making it work. What I'd like to know is if the EGR or FCV ever went bad, (even though they're not being used as intended) would they still throw a CEL, or does the Kerma tune block that from happening too?

When i disconnected the MAF for ORM she threw a cell and she threw a cel when i disconnected the FCV connector.
I then did the mod, reconnected the MAF and FCV connector, made sure the EGR was connected and no cel.

I'm no mechanic, but correct me if i'm wrong here. Why would the KERMA tune which supposedly reduces the workings of the EGR
not throw a cel. My blocking plate has effectively blocked all exhaust gasses from entering although the EGR is still functioning like it should be ie opening and closing
and the FCV without a butterfly is just not closing off the clean air to allow the EGR to suck exhaust gasses. If MAF detects a drop in air flow surely the KERMA tune should throw a CEL
which is not happening.

Perhaps this KERMA tuning is doing something similar to the SEGR.

I'm sorry to hear that the US models are different then and for causing some excitement of a CEL free mod.

The reason it threw a CEL when the MAF was disconnected is because that IS a fault. Same for the FCV valve.
I suspect that the Kerma Tune is playing games with the MAF signal to keep the CEL light off.
For the difference in price (SEGR vs Kerma Tune), and if the Kerma tune does indeed keep the EGR from working, then that ‘s the way I would go because of the performance that was lost due to the F37 reflash.

For the rest of us, it’s an aftermarket box and SEGR.

You are one lucky person, cuz you have a manual tranny. That means that you haven't had the F37 flash. The F37 is for auto transmissions so they don't explode their torque converters!

If you ever wreck your jeep, I call dibs on your tranny and drivetrain components!!!

Before you (we) write this mod off perhaps we should compare firmware (flash) levels of our ECM's

Or for some of us an InMotion stage II and a SEGR.

I intend to do some checking on this issue in fact i have already e-mailed the stealer and asked them to provide me with all the updates they have done to her
so far. I once had a CEL but had no clue at the time what it was all about ( before i joined LOST ) and the stealer told me that they had to flash my ECM in order to remove the CEL
however the software had to come from the US. This took about two weeks and then they phoned me to have the flash done and that is what i'm trying to find out as to exactly what they did.

I need to send you guys in the US a flash of my chip, if that's at all possible, maybe the electronic wizards can tell me what i need to do

Hate to beat a horse, but did the fcv and blocked the egr at the engine, had several cels, had them cleared and the low flow for the egr kept the cel coming back on. Since the waranty is good till 80,000, put the egr back the way it was and left the fcv, no cel. Am running the elephant hose and the fcv, no noticable difference, also put a new map sensor in, as after trying to clean the original didn't seem to help. Also as of last tank gave it a double dose of Sea Foam.
Today took it for a 10 mile drive, upon getting ready to return the electric fan came on, for a couple of minutes, didn't have the ac on, and it wasn't that warm?. Anybody running theirs in this configuration?, any info would be appreciated.
