Well, I think I might give it a try. Just curious how much mud is out there, and I'm not too sure how well my crappy a/t tires will do. But I am definitely in need of some wheeling, been in withdraw since I left New Mexico.
Are there any lodging accomidations near by? It is kind of a try for me so I was thinking about at least spending the night.
We stayed in Lafayette last time, which was about a half hour drive from the badlands. There's more nightlife there because it is the home of Purdue.
Attica Inn is right down the street and is supposed to be real nice. I believe Bogdan has stayed there before, maybe he'll chime in.
As for stockers, you'll do fine, but be sure to have an engine and a tranny skid. I banged mine A LOT at stock height, but no other damage except a couple pinstripes and the lower control arm bracket rash that every KJ gets it's first time off road.
If you need skids, use jparts. you can get all the skids shipped for about $200, a great deal for the protection, IMO.
The only other thing I ask, as I did Renegade363, is have a CB, handheld is fine too. it's just too hard to communicate on the trail without it. I'm sure he'll tell you he felt out of the loop on info the whole time. I had to relay everything to him over FRS radio.
But please do come along! the more, the merrier! It could be a good opportunity to get some ohio club stuff ironed out too.
you too, rocketjockey!
