you really have to wonder what the world is coming to. Stupid people, I am sure there was a few ( maybe a lot) of times that my Mother would of liked to of gave me away but she hung in there becuse she had me and it was her responsibility, plus she says she loved me

It is a tough call ... if the parents are truly unable to handle the situation, be it economic, behavioral, or abusive, it's much better for the children to end up here than dead.

Don't know about the other 48 states, but in California, you have 72 hours. Not 18 years. I'm pretty sure if you read the story it makes it clear that Nebraska has a very UNusual law.

ya they said its happened to atleast 16 children since the law took affect, but its still sad that there is a law like that

It's supposed to protect kids by giving unwanting mothers a place the leave newborns other than a dumpster in an alley.
