Here you go some great information on how a differential works, over 70 years old, but still good to the point and easy to understand information

Also some vintage motorcycle footage at the beginning for us that enjoy it on two wheels as well

Do you have a link for the Audi Torsen diff video? It's a fully mechanical design that applies torque to the wheel that ISN'T slipping. Wild idea but I've never felt more secure than while driving a quattro. Ironically, it was designed by an american and is used in many applications:

Yes,and the Torsen diffs are standard on military HMMWV's.Same idea for almost all the RC model car diffs also.
