What would be the 15" wheel equivalent of a 31x10.5x16 tire?

Thanks,
Bill

In the 16" wheel the tire sizes are usuall in the metric incriments. The 15" wheel you can easily get sizes in inch incriments.
The 16" 245/75/16 - is a 31/9.50/16
The 15" is a 31/10.50/15.
Approx. the same hight but the tread is a little wider.
I don't believe the 15" wheel will work on a KJ.
Also the 15" tires are generally cheaper.

15's work, but they have to be in the Soft 8 style. Unless I am wrong. I know Mike and a few others have 15s and they look pretty darn good.

Most 245/75R16's are right about 30.5" tall and about 9" wide for tread width. They make 31x10.50x16 tires, just because it's not for a 15" rim does not mean they do not make a SAE sized tire for that rim size.
