As many of you know, I've been on this site since, well, before we were on this site. Yup, I'm one of the old timers. Well, second generation anyway - I have a LOST number and was on the old board since Feb 2003.

You may also know I've become very active with Jeep Jamboree events when I became the offical Northeast rep for www.JeepTales.com (for whatever that's worth ;-)). But really, i felt JeepTales was a great way for participants to share photos with strangers. Afterall, the best pics of YOU are usually in someone else's camera!

Anyway, I wanted to share the following press release with my fellow LOST members. JeepTales is growing and moving on up.

Also, look for some reviews on KJ products in the new issues of JPFreek. The next issue is a write up on Jeepin' By Al's newest upper A-arms.

(Hey, I just looked over an advanced copy of JPFreek and see a Lost KJ in there: Liberator. Looks nice!)

Here's the press release:

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

JPFreek Adventure Magazine and Jeep Tales Complete Merger

Merger will create the largest resource for Jeep® Jamboree photo and editorial content

Houston, TX. – JPFreek Adventure Magazine today announced the merger of Jeeptales.com under the JPFreek umbrella. The merger will create the world’s largest resource of Jeep® Jamboree-related content on the web today, and will compliment JPFreek’s recently announced alliance with Jeep® Jamboree U.S.A. to provide the Jeep® community with extensive coverage of all Jamboree events.

Frank Ledwell, Co-founder and Managing Partner of JPFreek Adventure Publications, LLC, said, “The merger of Jeeptales.com into JPFreek Adventure Magazine builds upon our strategy for continued growth as a premier Jeep and outdoor adventure publication. Greg Machado, Founder of Jeeptales.com, has done a phenomenal job in creating the ultimate online hub for Jeep® Jamboree events throughout the country. As we develop our alliance with JJUSA, we look for this merger to enhance our placement in the Jeep publishing realm, all while providing the community of enthusiasts a central location for all-things Jamboree related.”

The alliance is effective immediately and will be fully integrated with the commencement of the 2009 Jeep® Jamboree season.

About Jeeptales.com
When Greg Machado had the opportunity to attend his first Jeep® Jamboree event in Kerrville, Texas 15 years ago, he realized that the community was missing a central hub for fellow Jamboree participants to share their adventures. Jeep Tales was created to give Jeep® Jamboree trail participants the ability to share digital photos, digital video clips, and audio stories with the global community of Jeep® enthusiasts.

About JPFreek Adventure Publications, LLC
The concept of JPFreek Adventure Magazine was first masterminded in late 2005 while several friends gathered to discuss their adventures. Four months later, JPFreek Adventure Magazine was born with the express intent of sharing our passion for Jeep vehicles and outdoor adventure with fellow enthusiasts, all while promoting eco-friendly and responsible off-highway recreation. JPFreek's staff takes pride in delivering a fun, vibrant, and engaging digital publication that is the only one of its kind in North America.

Nope, I never really tried beyond listing it on here for sale. And my sons are still yelling at me for saying I was going to sell it.

we went to two Jeep Jambs this summer and the KJ did great! And with my new JBA upper A-arms, it's running nicely.

I did bend up my brand new front Super Skid as well as the tranny skid (again). So I'm going to have it beefed up by a welder. Anyone else do this? I'm thinking of having braces welded to it.

Anyway, yes, I'm around. Always lurking!

Well, if I could pull the doors off the KJ my kids would love it! And if the top folded down, my wife would love it! And if it could tow 6,000lbs, I WOULD LOVE IT! And if it came with a diesel, my wallet would love it!!!

Here's the trail guide's rig. He loves it ;)

Like Pavlov's dog, whenever I see one I salivate. What a special vehicle. With a diesel, what a dragon slayer that would be... :!:
