Ok this may have been asked before, I apologize for my ignorance. :D

If you fit a 2,5" Daystar kit and OME HD coils would you then get a 5" lift?

I suppose so. I have a friend who is bugging me to fit the Daystars to his CRD with OME lift, but I am affraid that it's not going to work. Not even with the JBA UCA's.

Anyone ever did this? How high are the All J pucks on the Frankenlift?

First I don't think you could compress the springs enough to get the pucks in
Second the CVs are going to be crying for help real soon
Third do you want to drive it or just sit and look at it?
Fourth even if you did the front, what about the rear, how will you raise it and do it safely and let it work well?
YES some will say that down in the swamp they are doing it , but has it worked over the long haul,
And yes its been discussed several times on here

Thanks Tom, I knew you'd tell me how stupid this idea is. :D

One of the guys in our KJ owners group has fitted the 2.5" Daystar to his OME shocks and OEM COILS....

How's that for a stupid idea.

Ok. That leaves me with the next 3 questions:

Anybody know the height of the Daystar topplates?

What if I used those with the Daystar 0.75" pucks and OME 927's and terraflex 4" bumpstops?

That would be like a Gasser Frankenlift I guess. Does it work on a CRD?

OME 927s would not work on a CRD not heavy enough at all

927s are 400 lb (heavy duty fronts)
stock CRD are 410 lbs
OME 750 (CRD springs) are 500 lb

But it all goes back to anything is possible, some like to argue that some have done it, for me I want something I can jump in and go 3500 miles if I want and not worry about any parts falling off or breaking.

The OME 927's were the recommendation for the 2.5L CRD's - they just didn't work on the 2.8L
The 2.8 needs the 790's (which work very well - gave me the same lift as the '2.5' Daystar - and much better performance)

Yeah, TOM just never reads my signature. :? :D

Anyway, I'll just go with the flow and forget about Frankenstein.

Uptil now I gathered this:

Ome 927 and 948
KONI 8240-1201SPX struts
Rancho rsx 17004 and OME NS 132 shocks ( will go with the Rancho's, keep the OME's as emergency spares )
Terraflex front / DIY rear bumpstops
JKS quick disconnects

Thanks for sustaining my constant wining everyone.

Sorry to sound confused, but isn't a 2.5" daystar, with ome coils a frankenlit, and isn't that what everyone around hear raves about?

No, two different lifts while a Franky uses some Daystar stuff to make the lift it is not the same as a 2.5 Daystar lift. Frankys uses the Daystar top plte for one
With using a Daystar 2.5 lift and OME springs it would result in ...a whole bunch of trouble, we will end it at that,
wish this thread would DIE!!!
