Anyone else getting spam?

I received 3 different spam emails overnight to my address linked to LOST. They we're about discount off-road tires, "rate me please" and the last was adult stuff. All had LOST_Midwest in the address...anyone else getting these?

Just guessing, but the new servers may not have been properly secured. I had the same problem several years ago when a "bot" was able to access the servers and collect emails as well as send spam through the servers.

yeah i got one about discount off-road tires. is it possible that its coming from the LOST midwest yahoo group that the calendar is in?

Yeah I've been getting these. I've gotten a total of 3 of these spam emails now. One was a "rate how hot I am" email, the second was an "older female looking for younger man" email, and the third was the "discount tires" one

These are coming from the yahoo group... who's a mod for that ?

jason.sattler is the only mod i believe. the messages i have are from Manonmanon7822 and martin.menez

Yep - it has to do with the Yahoo group -
got both of them too...
you need to go into that yahoo group and take yourself out of the address book or list
I think there is a way to do this.
If you actually look at the email you got, there is a link at the bottom that says members, click on it and it will take you to the group that was created by Moose.
once there, at the top there is a link - edit membership - then at the bottom of the next section is a link that says leave group - click on it and you will no longer get these messages. You've already got two, you will be getting more for sure. If you want to no longer get those messages, you will have to abandon the group - that is the only way i can think of now.

I know it was a nice feature to have a calendar but if LOST actually upgrades, there will be a calendar feature in it so we can use that.

you can also just set your preferences on the group to not receive email messages without leaving the group. you'll still get the messages in your inbox on the group website, but big deal, who cares. you just wont get an email notification of it

I've been getting the same spam and it is through Yahoo groups but associated with another forum. I think something is wrong with the Yahoo groups across the board for all forums.

Ok, well it seems that LOST is all upgraded now, I guess. Anyone know if theres a calendar feature in here somewhere?
