i have had a few chances to buy moabs but they are a 5X5 pattern
not a 5X4.5 what am i missing here... are people getting spacers
that change their lug pattern?

Those 5x5 Moabs are pretty common because they come on all the new JKs, and since most of the jeep world that wants Moabs has 5x4.5 there are a bunch out there.

5x5: Large supply, low demand.
5x4.5 Lager supply, huge demand.



Keep checking craigslist and ebay, you can find some decent deals there.
