I posted this in the electrical section and had many who viewed it but no response. I am reposting it here in the KK section since this has to do with the kk and hopefully, together, we can come up with a solution.

So, here goes:

I read a post where someone did a modification to run the fog lights with the high beams on. This was apparently done on an '02 but was supposedly a modification that could be done to even an '05 + kj. My question is, can this be done on the newer kk models. I looked into this but was only able to go as far as looking under my dash because the said relays in the modification instructions were not anywhere where the instuctions stated they were. The only place I found relays was under the hood in the fuse box area but still was unable to find where the relay specifically for the multi-functional controller was located. I did post this question on another forum which on top of being hijacked, was only told I would end up frying my BCM plus it was illegal to run high beams and foglights. I don't understand why the BCM would get fried since I don't believe there is THAT much difference in current between the high and low beams. I also don't care whether it is "illegal" to run the high beams and fog lights together on the road. I just want to know if and how this can be done on the new KK.

Can it be as simple as hooking up a jumper from the parking light to the fog light for voltage or is it going to be more complicated than that. I know on the Duramax forum, they were able to accomplish this by tapping into the relay under the hood and using jumper wires. I know this is not a GM forum but I just don't understand why this could not be done to the KK since a majority of the vehicles are able to perform this mod.
