The link below is a .mp3 audio from a Chicago radio station (WTMX.com). What you will hear is the acceptence speech of a real, true-to-life 7 year old girl in the second grade of a Lincoln Park neighborhood public school in Chicago. During the U.S. national held election for president, the students in this second grade class held an election for class president, in which the winning speech won the election.

Need I remind you that no one cares what you think of the election or the results regarding the U.S. President-elect - what is amazing is that this 7 year old girl actually wrote and gave this winning speech to her class. I don't know about the rest of you, but no way could I have ever written such a speech in second grade. Some may say kids today are too smart, but I think many of us can learn a lot from a girl like this one.

Some kids are pretty smart, my kids couldn't do that..not that would even want to. We have some friends that have an 8 yrs old....he's reading and doing 7th grade math.
maybe she is a future politician, I heard her same " i promise" a couple times.

See.....there is hope for the future of our country! If we adults could only hold on to the feelings of the heart that this little girl has now we would be a lot better off. I hope she keeps it.
