He usually goes on the trails with us. Even went kayaking in the ocean with me once or twice and managed to stay on the yak most of the time :)

Sam, how are the dogs hair shedding? We had a golden growing up and I don't remember there being a ton of hair all over the house. They are awesome dogs. I am thinking that our next pup will be a golden. A breeder we talked to said the more red the more field ready (hunting) they are are said to be, but I like the more gold look.

They are goldens, they shed. Its not bad IMO, I dont really brush mine and its not like I'm swimming in hair.

My old roomate had a golden/black lab mix, that dog could SHED!

I love goldens, I really think its the only dog for me, I dunno about using them as a hunting dog, but they sure do love to retrieve!
