I'm hearing an air noise that gets louder the harder i push the pedal. It's a swooshing noise. It's coming from the battery side near the front of the engine compartment. Does this sound like a split cac hose? I don't have a loss of power yet.

Thanks
Todd

Could be a loose clamp, but I'd be suspicious that there wasn't a slit in the hose starting. I'd get someone to rev the car while you look at the hoses carefully.

Altho typing is easier than doing something firsthand, why would you not just pop the hood and look, for yourself? We cannot see you or your vehicle, and that first-hand experience counts way more than opinion when troubleshooting.....................

That's how it started for me. The split in my case was very hard to spot; I had to remove the hose and squish it a bit until I found it. When I removed it the first time to replace the EGR, I missed it completely.

after the scolding from gmctd i took the hose completely off and found a split. i couldn't see the see split while it was still on, and wanted a second opinion before i took it off. Thanks for the encouragement( i think) gmctd.
