Does anyone know for certain that this will work in a KJ??????

Why not,as long as you have the 42RLE tranny('03+ KJ's) you are running the same tranny and in most cases the same t-case as the TJ's or JK's.You may(highly doubt it though) have to slightly modify the tranny/t-case mount,by that I mean get the TJ/JK one and drill new holes in the crossmember(not hard but again highly doubt it is needed).

I am on the mailing list but have not received any updates yet. I would assume it would work on the Libby as well as the Rubi.

It might work in a Rubi, but I foresee at least two problems. With the doubler in low and the t-case in low, it would produce enough torque to snap an axle shaft in situations where it wouldn't have otherwise. And you'll have to stand on the brakes to keep it from moving at idle so forget being able to even touch the gas pedal.

The torque on the axles is a concern but the crawling while at idle is a good thing in my book. I hate the fact that in my old TJs I could go down a really steep hill and take my foot off the gas, clutch and brake and just let it roll, but now with my KJ if I did that I would get way too much speed and bounce down the hill instead of crawl down it. I really want and need a better crawl ratio in the KJ.

but it's cheaper than an Atlas , granted would not be the same thing, but for in a KJ it would be all you need or until you go SFA

I think the low crawl would be ideal, as long as you let it walk its way instead of gunning it up over rocks. Good set of lockers and this , can you even think how it would feel!!!!

Yeah, but man that price is high. Probably worth it though.

That's a bargian compared to the $2500 for my AtlasII t-case and I'll only have 4.3:1 low range.

Yea but an Atlas is a much strudier T-Case than what comes in a libby or rubi..................

That is true but another $1000+ in mods are needed to run a AtlasII t-case,the RubiCrawler is a direct bolt-in with no mods needed to the rest of the driveline(would highly suggest them though for strength).

It is definitely cheaper and easier. Sounds like a sweet alternative, I am talking with a guy about fabbing up a custom rear bumper right now though so this will have to wait...
