 Post subject: Hood lifts 05 liberty

My lifts only hold the hood in the up position and do nothing to help lift it up I recently looked at Liberty in Libertys and he has a 06 crd and his hood opened up all by it self after releasing the safety latch whats up with that?

Mine certainly don't lift it up on their own - never have since I bought my '05 almost 2 years ago, but they do seem to offer some assistance getting it up there and hold it up fine.
