I have been looking to put a Surco rack on the ol'e KJ. Today a friend was helping me measure for it. We noted the satellite receiver will sit directly under the center floor panel.

I was wandering has anyone used the Surco roof rack with factory Sirius radio? Are there any problems with signal loss? The darn thing cuts out under every toll booth and gas station or bridge you go under. There covers are several feet above the jeep. What will a aluminum plate 3-4" above do?

Im sure it will cut out. My XM cuts out when im just washing the top of my jeep, not even over the antenna. yes, i play the radio while washing my jeep.

You wash your Jeep?
I have very little problem with reception at all and Sharon hasn't complained for me to move it so it must be OK.
