recall on 05?

I got a message on my answering machine from the dealer where i purchased my vehicle from today regarding a recall. I have yet to call back, but i was curious if anyone has heard anything about this. Curiously enough, my dad also has an 05 renegade from a different dealer and no phone call. I think it could be a mistake seeing as how i havent heard anything on here about it. Any ideas?

I have a 2005 Renegade, and don't see any recalls listed on Jeep.com, maybe it was a mistake?

Me either. You might just want to call the dealership and ask them about the recall and get the recall number for us and post it please.

I bought my 05 limited in Feb and then in April the dealer called me with a recall and update with a CPU reflash, so it could be something, but call them and find out what it is.

No phone calls or recalls here. What engine do you have in your KJ?

No recall letter or phone call for me either. But now when I punch in my
VIN on Jeep's recall page, it returns an incomplete for the tranny recall. So I printed off a hardcopy of the recall for when I decide to get it scheduled.
My '05 Renegade was built in Sept of 2004. Have had no tranny problems after a year and 9K miles.

There is a transmission recall on the 05 with 3.7 and the 42RLE transmission, invoves installing some sort of stop to prevent the vehicle not going into park and rolling bac.

Ahh, that explains why I didn't get a recall notice. I don't have park.

The recall is about that pin that is in the tranny that holds it in park. The pin could come off the shaft its held to, and if you don't set your e-brake, well bye bye Jeep!
