I got this idea from a thread in the new member introductions section and it goes along nicely with the one that Rangerd77 started in this section. So what does your username mean? Some are obvious and some are not. Some may be personal and you aren't comfortable sharing. There are a lot that have a story behind them. I thought it would be cool to get to know the members better by sharing this. So I will start:

mrkake - my name is Kirk. I manage restaurants and have to wear a shirt and tie while on duty. Back in the late 80's my brother in law stopped my the house while I was on my way out the door headed to work and he said, " Oh, dressed like that maybe I should call you Mr. Kirk" and the handle stuck. My wife used to call me Kake for reasons that I will not discuss even under torture  and she started calling me Mr. Kake (now she calls me grumpy old b@stard  ). The rest is history. I didn't know that I would become so active on this forum or I would have signed up with a cool username  .

That's my story. Please share yours.

When I first tried to log on to LOST I was trying to just use my first name (Dave) and it wouldn't work so I put in my middle name (Albert) and it worked. I guess I have no imagination to come up with a cool log on name.....haha

Lionseye640 : I'm a leo (hence the "lion" part), have one blue eye & one green eye (hence the "eyes" part) and it would've been just that, but like Albert, I had to try registering twice ... so I added the 640 to the end (street address of my house).

this was done a few years back but here goes again

my first name, well never mind what it is,
but my nickname is Tom,
my Ex wife and I were arguing one day and I said something like " my name may as well be mud!"

Next thing I know we are going to church and her 5 year old son was introducing me to someone as "tommud" My wife laughed and thought it was funny and it just stuck and spread to friends etc.
somewhere for some forum I needed more letters so added another "d" to it,
some people who have known me for years, only know me by Mud or Tom and of course neither name is on my birth certificate or even close to it

Tom

JJ = "Just Johnny" from the movie Johnny Mnemonic w/ Keanu Reaves. Friends at work started calling me Just Johnny when the movie came out which eventually shortened to JJ. I liked it so I started using variations of it online. sKJ because it is My KJ.

I've used this handle on a few forums for almost a year now. The name comes from the '08 Harley-Davidson CrossBones model I ride. Or I should say my "daily rider" Harley, aka the 2nd love of my life.

I usually use BLAZER or some form of it on all forums, but someone already had it here so I went with my current daily driver.... TAHOE.

Well lets see. I have lived in Texas my whole life. (yes, I have actually been out of the state on occasion, but Texas is and always will be home). I am 6'6" tall and wear a size 15 shoe. Just picked it up from the Beach Boys rendition of the song many years ago.

501 is not to creative, for years there was 8 of us living under the same roof and when we would sign things, cards, guestbooks, etc. I would sign 'The 501 Gang' instead of everyones names. (501 being our street address). Then when we started geocaching we signed in as 501_Gang. Now most have moved away (some moved back) but I took over the 501_Gang name and everyone else has their own name. So when I signed on here I thought I would shorten it up to just 501, the name was available, so there it is. Prety boring!

I'm a huge snowboarder and love the deep powder. Powder Daze is a play on words...nothing better than a powder day and the look on ones face after a good run is usualy a dazed meniacal grin. :D
