But December is KRAZZY for me.

Steve.....that's a haul from here.........ok, you talked me into it...haha.

I always wanted to find that place and see what it was all about. We just need to coordinate and see.

Have you ever been there??

No, I've never been there, always driven by it, but scoobysnax has, and he had some killer pic's of the place. Brian had a good idea, of going there and hitting AC after, we're right in that area.

Albert, what about those logging road near you?

There a TON of trails up Alberts way. We just need to fine the right trail.

I am looking for all my utility maps for that area to see what trails I had marked good from a few years ago.

I do not know what changed over the last few years up there.

Maybe we can get scoobysnax to go to the Pine Barrens and show us??

The logging road near me is knarley and I didn't want to go in the one I found since I was alone and it is in the middle of nowhere about 10 miles from here past Lake Lonely. It is NY State lands and not posted. Once it snows you won't be able to get in there. I went in another one but since I was alone I didn't go all the way. The main road over the mountain is not paved and very minimally maintained. It is a tooth jarring road. The old logging roads are off of that one. There is another one up by Warrensburg that goes between Warrensburg and Lake Luzerne over the mountain. These are in the mountains and deer season is going on right now.

There is the one up by Indian Lake but right now closed. It will be open to vehicles again in May. There is probably 2 feet of snow up there right now and it's snowmobiles only and hunting season so you can only get part way in. Miles and miles of dirt roads and trails. (NY State land) You need to bring camping gear and stay for a couple of days during the summer. It is in the middle of nowhere. You need to fill your gas tank and bring everything you need with you before you go in cause it's a real long way to a store once you are up there. Brian has been there also. I don't want to get specific over the internet.

Can you get in the Pine Barrens all year?? Going there and then AC would be good.

Warrensburg and Lake Luzerne over the mountain!!!!!

WOW I forgot about this place. I have not been there in YEARS!

Basicly wheeling is over for the winter due to hunting season.
Rite now it is big game and that will end soon for a few weeks, but other huntings are going on as well inbetween deer and small game.

Looks like May will be the earlyest we can hit the trails again. Late may for my area.
