I just got back this morning from a few weeks on the road. This was my third trip helping FEMA in TX.

I couldn't wait to get home to see my Libby!

I fired it up...dropped the back window a bit for my pup and CRACK! Window regulator number two...
The wife says my baby was mad at me for being gone so long.

I'll spend my first day back at the dealer

At least it's under warranty. 2 regs down and 2 to go.

I’ve always thought of doing something like helping FEMA, that’s a heck of a good deed you are doing.

Might as well be... my wife always calls mine the other woman. Surprised she hasn't sold it while I was on a deployment...

Well we got her all fixed up and washed, but I'm really gonna be on the S List. I'm shipping back out to Pasadena, TX tomorrow and will be running Frostburg, MD to Pasadena for two weeks. The wife now says the KJ will likely file for divorce! I told the wife she has to stop putting bad ideas in my Jeep's head

Bummer on the regulator, but thanks for helping FEMA down here in Texas. I live on Seawall Blvd in Galveston and have seen what it's like down there. I appreciate your work down here as do many others. Thank you

My semester ends Wednesday so hit me up if you want to do some wheeling down here (you can get your KJ fix vicariously riding shot gun with me)

Cheers
Phil

That would be sweet!

I'll have to keep an eye on the schedule. Right now I could drive to Pasadena or Jasper with my eyes closed. All I'd need is an auto-pilot button for the truck.

As for the work...I don't mind. It allows me to vividly see the fruits of my labor and know that somebody in need is going to benefit.

It's lots of long hours on the road. I keep telling myself with each run that I need to move as many as possible before Christmas. This way people can have a home for the holiday.

There was a time when I wondered if being an owner/operator was worth it. I've learned that it's not always what it's worth to me but how valuable my skills can be to others as well.
