I am going to order on Monday. I went to reply to this post and somehow the forum made me log in again and then it ended up being a new thread. Oh well. Here's my story:

I ordered today, the total with taxes and shipping came to $989.00. That’s one heck of a deal for a new ARB. Good find Tom! The sale lasts until the bumpers are all gone. This is an estimated $200 dollars off the original price.

Are you afraid they are going to rip a bunch of people off, keep taking orders while dodging people you ripped off, show up months later with a couple of excuses, and still only ship one product ( & it being the worng product ) and expect all to be forgiven? Just curious about the dichotomy of forgiveness or whatever pricnciples apply..........

 LOL  , Actually Rusty’s was great to deal with. Maybe I was thinking of Rocky Road when I expressed my paranoid behavior. Either way, my bumper is being shipped from ARB direct, so hopefully all goes well. :D

I asked Rusty’s how long the sale was going to last, and they said whenever all the bumpers are gone. So I’m assuming (just taking a wild guess) that Rusty’s buys so much inventory (in bulk), and once that inventory is gone, then the sale is over. Even though the product is shipped from ARB, I’m guessing that the pre-bought inventory is stored at their warehouse to reduce extra shipping costs. For example: Let’s say Rusty’s bought 10 of the 02-04 KJ bumpers and 10 of the 05-07 KJ bumpers, then that’s all they can sell at that price. I really don’t know how they calculate, but there is definitely an end to the sale when the product is gone. They expected the sale to last at least a few weeks. Hope this clarifies.

Well, like the old saying goes: “If you can’t beat ‘em, then join ‘em.” Do I get some kind of pink shovel for being in the ARB club?

install was real easy.. great bumper to put on.. just put there here.. drill this.. drill that.. lots of drilling but besides that very very easy. if your adding a winch i would suggest wiring the winch in the bumper off the jeep.. then having a group of people (preferably men) help ya lift it on... i used an engine hoist to hold/fit mine with.. a tow truck, or crane would also work :).

make sure the plate you put on your reinforcement is FLAT and level against the jeep.. may require grinding/cutting off some extra barbs or metal but if it's not flat/level the bumper will have bad gaps.

i kinda like the crane idea, but if you have them, then i would use 2 HI-LIFTs....

Tom, I tried quoting your line. All went well until I mentioned the ARB part. According to her, I should have said, “I want nothing more for Christmas than you by my side” and then stopped. So that was my first mistake. My second mistake was when I asked her while she was doing dishes, which apparently is a big no no. I have lots to learn……………….

LMFAO, you brought a tear to my eye. I don't think there is ever a good time to request that. Hell that is what I did for mine and it took me nearly 2 weeks to build up enough steam to go through with it :D It did work though...then again mine was in exchange for a new Dell Laptop...

Xodius, I really got screwed the other day when I was talking to Rock Lizard on the phone. RL was yelling into his cell phone because he was trying to talk over his loud tires while driving to work. I didn’t know it, but the wife could hear the whole dang conversation. I was okay until RL said, “Hey, so are you putting a winch in it?” Then with a quick reply I said, “Of course I am” Anyway, the wife heard that part and gave me the look that every husband fears. She didn’t let me get off the phone before she was attacking me. “YOU NEVER SAID NOTHIN’ ABOUT BUYIN’ A WINCH.” Oh man, did I ever get a butt chewin’ for that.

When a guy moving furniture in a Uhaul van, sideswiped the front end of my Libby causing this damage:

what better time to put on a new bumper.
I ordered my ARB from Rustys for $1020 shipped to NY two days ago. Pleasure to deal with them. I will post some pics when I get it installed in the next week.
