ATXKJ: the R25P is a 30 micron filter! You'd want to change that to R25S 2 micron.

Not a problem - I'm collecting for when the Stock head dies and I'm out of warranty
Thanks for the info.

I am sure it has been mentioned elsewhere, but does anyone know what the micron rating of the stock MOPAR filter is?

I think it's 5.

It has been suggested that it is 2 micron nominal.

Wasn't the Cat filter rated at 2 micron?

The CAT filter adaptor was for the 2.8L molded plastic fuel head
two issues
1) cheaper higher quality filter (CAT uses synthetic fibers - Stock is paper that disintegrated in an Old_Navy test)
CAT was about $15 - Stock ~$40
2) some folks were having problems that they attributed to the stock filter -
turns out most of that was the filter head leaking - and the CAT made those problems worse.

Thats when the Racor came in - better filter and fixes the air leaks

Now I thought you were an Aussie Russmack :D :D :D

Picked up the new head today, next I'll check if the R20 or R25 fits on that.

And what do you know...it started up just fine today al day...

But I feel a lot better when I have the new one installed. Imagine that cap going 'crack' and leaving me stranded 300 miles from home in the middle of nowhere.

Ok, changed fuel head yesterdag an al problems seem to be solved. Starts up just like it used to.

Inspected the old one, problem seems to come from the lifter pump, that's sealed by a little o-ring along the axle and I think that's shot.

I think the manual is wrong then. Pretty sure we determined it was 10.

It's different. As in non-existent.
