Looks good Adam. I've been eyeing the ARB lately myself and I wonder how it would look in graphite. :)

It'll look great. Did you see that sale price I posted on the "getting an ARB cheaper" thread? It was about $716 delivered to my area! I paid $740 delivered and THAT was an awesome price. Act now! this sale is a limited time offer. yada yada

Here is what mine looks like in the primer graphite/gray color on a light khaki.

By the way Adam, the shackles do not rattle at all for me, I'm sure you figured it out by now though. Nice Christmas present! Remember to hit plenty of stuff with it...I mean...what who said that???? Have fun with the battering ram

Thanks. Yes, I've noticed no rattle from them. LOVING IT! I feel like I'm driving a tank around. People stop short and I only stop to avoid scratching my paint!

Haha   Actually that dent is 100% due to the fact that I have NO MT tires and have crummy ATs instead...well not crummy, but they sure suck in the mud! I slid into the side of a dirt/rock wall along a tight trail already...not my best moment but we all had a laugh...and yes that is where I came up with the now FAMOUS quote "dam we're in a tight spot!"

By the way Adam, forgot to ask. 1: Does your CB work well enough with the atenna mounted in the stock position? 2: When are you going to get some Hellas to match that new battering ram? Yours actually looks good without them but mine looked so naked without them that I had to install some. Maybe its because yours is color coded and I was too cheap to spring for the paint job (although it was mostly because I knew what I would be doing with my bull bar...and it was DEFINITELY not hitting crap and plowing stuff over...I would NEVER do something so immature and un-KJ like  )

The CB gets exceptionally good reception. I've been able to have conversations with others over 10 miles away. The most I clocked was 12 miles as I recall, through urban Long Island.

I'm debating the light situation. Looks good now. I've got powerfull lights on the roof. If anything, I'd add fogs.

I'm never afraid to drive my KJ like a Jeep! You should SEE the battle wounds I have. I won't be any different with the ARB.

So adam I was thinking.....Will your new usty springs hold up to the new weight of the ARB? I am kind of worried that it might sag......Yes it's not even my car and yet I still worry. Is that sad? But yes it's honest worry for a fellow KJ/ let me know what you think about the sag not about my crazyness

legit concern. Rusty said his springs are designed for ARB & winch, so I should be OK.

Looks good!

Quick questions.....Does it look like the hoop could be cut off and the the mounting area be cleaned up and filled in? I like the ARB but i Dont care for the hoop. Was thinking this could reduce weight also...

I guess someone who knows what he's doing can cut off the hoop. I asked ARB if I can get it without a hoop. No.

That's one of the reasons I wanted it painted body color; it REALLY reduces the visiblility of the hoop. Looks like some kind of stock option and not some bolt on addition.

I'm VERY pleased so far. Plus, I can't wait to mount my hi-lift on that hoop at the next Jamboree. Should look very impressive.

The "hoop" is the Bull bar portion. The "other" company (Trail Ready) making a great front bumper offers it w/o that Bull bar (hoop). Rock Lizard is designing a front bumper w/o the Bull bar also.

As I understand it, Trailready's bumper is out of production for now.

Yes, Rock Lizard is trying to make a bumper without the bar. It will also not have fog light holes. ETA is 4-6 months.

Did you get the "stiffer" springs from Rusty?
When I bought my lift from him, there were apparently two stiffnesses of springs and I didn't specify I have an arb. After about a year, my lift is looking pretty sad upfront :-(

Well, when I got mine, he told me it was OK for ARB. I guess it's the HD springs.

I thought he told me that he only sells the HD springs.

I was told when I had my OME springs installed that they also make different springs for different loads but they generally use the lighter rated springs for ride comfort unless specifically asked for by the customer.
The issue being that without the added weight of the heavy bumper the ride is much to stiff for most people.
Just my 2 pennys
Adam your ride looks great. :D
