So I've got 3K miles until its time to flush the coolant and I found a hairline crack on the radiator top right corner if you're facing the hood. Since I'm supposed to put new fluids in, should I be thinking about a new radiator as well or would I be able to patch it? Maybe some JB or a radiator patch kit could work on the plastic. Anybody feel like shedding some light I would muchly appreciate it!

Plastic is not repairable with JB-weld.

And since it's the RADIATOR, you should replace it so that you don't end up stranded somewhere if your temporary repair deceides to fail on you.

Thanks MC! $176 and free shipping and lifetime warranty...doesn't sound too bad at all. The pains of changing a radiator are soon on their way :x

Talk to them. $20 cheaper and Dirk is a way cool dude.

And when you do your radiator, when you disconnect the cooler lines, make sure you don't drop the O-rings. Was an issue both times I did my radiator

Is the battery tray the central piece holding the KJ together?? It seems like that dude needs to come out for everything!

What kind of radiator is that radiatorbarn unit? Remember what Tommyboy taught us about gaurantees....

Thanks for all the info guys! This should make my radiator r² go much easier. It helps having the FSM as well. As for the radiator at RadiatorBarn its just your direct OEM replacement...plastic

BTW...what are you guys using for coolant?

G-05 or Mopar coolant is all that you should put into the KJ.
