Had the housing industry not over-inflated house prices to the point of an entire credit collapse the industry of American manufacturing wouldn't be in this situation.
The UAW is making concessions and by 2010 they will be paid less than your favorite foregin car companies. Speaking of them, didn't any of you read that both Japan and Europe are considering injecting money into their Automobile companies as well? The American car companies are not the only ones hurting here...

You made some good points there and those are the reasons we are where we are today. All of the overseas companies give large sums of money to their car companies every year, thats how they can do what they do in research and making the cheap junk they do.
BUT then everyone wants to blame the unions and car companies!!!!
