this company has 3", 6", 12" and up....they dont recommend anything shorter than 12" for reception but do say that for super shorty antennas that their 6" is better. I have their 12" black antenna machined entirely from one piece of metal (aluminum I believe). Here is a pic of mine and it has awesome reception....I will look up the company asap.

I had the same problem.....low branches in the turnaround drive about ripping off the antenna.....not my branches either, on the neighbors side of the huge turnaround....perfect solution.......name of company being looked up now....standby

here ya go....i had to look up my original post. Here is the ebay store where they can be had. I see they have about 30 different ones available right now for the liberty....but if you dont see the style you want in the right height or in black, just email those people. they got back to my questions right away and the antenna is REAL nice and built very well. Right now I see a 6" version if you want real short then there's lots of 9", 12" and 15" in either chrome, black or red. Confirm with them the style and color for whichever length you want. I opted for the straight billet design.

like here....its title says CHROME 6" billet antenna, but its showing a black antenna....just confirm when you order that's its the color you want.

I realize I may be too late with this post, but this is what I got on mine. I got it for looks, but hey to each his own. BTW I've had no problems with reception at all. This is the 2nd time I've bought from these guys, the first was for my 96' XJ.
The company is Antenna-X
