My Mother Has Passed Away

My mother died this morning in St. Francis Hospital ICU after undergoing her 4th hip surgery.

But remember, when you go to the garden to get some flowers to show off, you don't pick the ugly flowers do you, well neither does God, he chooses only the best for his home too.

My God I am so sorry to hear about your Mother passing away.
I was actually going to call you today to see how she was doing with the ramp you put in your house and also so see what you were up to today, we having a birthday party for my LIL man Devin....

I just finish going thru my address book. Hopefully I haven't missed anyone.

It is not a ramp. I settle on a vertical lift.

Really sorry to hear of your loss. Losing a parent is not an easy thing to go through. Hold on tight to the memories. :cry:

The Wake will take place at the Clinton Funeral Home, 21 Parrot St., Cold Spring, NY on this Friday, January 2nd (5 - 8 PM). Mass will be Saturday at Our Lady of Loretto Church‎, 24 Fair St., Cold Spring (10 AM). Cemetery is Gate of Heaven in Hawthorne.

The Funeral Lunch will be at Charlie Brown's which some of you know from our Toys for Tots meet.

Just got home.

That's OK. Most of local neighbors were there.

Still it was rather an empty place. Guess that's what happens when you outlive all your sisters and brothers and even all your friends.

I took it rather well. Just one look and you know you are only looking at a shell. That the soul has moved on to a better place.

Hope you can remember the good things and move forward...

man, it's hard to even read this and not get teary eyed. i feel for you man. i have not yet had to endure this pain, but do not look forward to that time coming.
we should meet up sometime, and do some wheelin, i'm 20 minutes from you! er that is, once i get my baby back from the shop.. errr
