WOW!!! Awesome pics you guys.Looks like you had a blast, aside from a couple spots.Guess thats all part of the fun.I know you were out on the GWNF is that somewhere near Richmond.I noticed you were meeting up I believe somewhere on Broad St. in Rich.I was up there on the 17th for a Christmas party at my District managers house off of Cox Rd.The only snow I saw up there were these little piles on corners that were pretty much nothing.Anyways cool pics and hope to join sometime.

Nope not even close to Richmond. If you know where JMU is then you would be in the right area. The meeting spot was on Rt. 33 in Harrisonburg.

As far as the pics go yes peps there are 2 seperate shots of the left front tire in alot of water, because I got stuck not once, not twice, but three yes count em three times. And I was saying the famoust last words of all the greatest rednecks "Hey ya'll watch this"

Hey Chris, you look a little cold and wet there.

Looks and sounds like you guys had a great time. Scenery is always spectacular from your trips to GWNF.

Wish I could make it down there sometime with my Jeep. Need a truck and trailer since that TJ is a back buster just running to the beer store.

Snow and ice always makes a regular trail much more interesting and challenging. We here in Michigan love our ica nd snow runs up north. Never know what you might find. We run tank trails (ANG Training area) and have found holes deep enough to swallow lifted TJ's after breaking through 3 0r more layters of ice with a foot of water in between. It is a lot of fun leading that type of run.

Basically, I can show pics of my Jeep in water deep enough to cover my 33" tires, then add snow and ice to make it real fun.

I will post up in here when we do our big one around March is anyone is interested in driving up here. Have had as many as 60 rigs on these impromptu runs. Everything from lifted built TJ's, ZJ's, XJ's, CJ's, YJ's, KJ's and WJ's. Even other trucks and Durangos. 2 years ago had an H2 join us. Everything from stock to built and all are always welcome.

Chris: Did the water come in from the drain plugs? Looks like you boys had a lot of fun but could have used my ARB to crush that ice. Sorry I couldent make it but I had to go part hunting today to FINALLY get the tennsioner pully back together. I got a call late last night telling me that my parts came in and that I could get them at 2 today. I know have a spare tennsioner pulley assembly and spare serpentine belt for anyone who brakes theirs on the trail. I hope I will be able to make it on the next run!

Great pics guys, looks like you all had a great time. I almost hooked up with you for this run, but I still need to buy and install a front hidden hitch for my pull point, I would have needed it if I had gone on this run, stock tires....... I will join you all in the future. Chris, since your in WVA, we might hook up sometime & hit some trails.

Great pics as usual! If it wasn't a 4+ hr drive I would have been there. I have this whole week off and no one to play with. I got a digital camera for Xmas... now I have to figure out how to post the pics. I picked up a reader yesterday. Jan 21 is Sandy's birthday, but if you all are going to Paragon I'm going to try to make it.

No I think that it may have come in through the rear door seal. But it just might have came in through the drain hole, but I know it left through the drain hole.

I am really jealous!!, Not of getting water inside the KJ, but of the ride!

This is one reason I like off roading, look at those pictures. The area is just beautiful! I wanted to go, but I couldn't take the time off, especially since I got "sick" today to take on a 3rd interview with a firm that wants me to open and run their Civil Engineering arm. This meeting was to tell them that at the end of April - I will be in Moab!!!!!

I think a trip to that area of the park is due this spring, just when the trees are budding, or a little afterwards. Yous guys (NJ) have too much fun when I am not able to go!

Well Chris, didn't I show you at Paragon what happens when the water and mud gets too deep. That's why I have my son tag along so he can jump out and get all wet and muddy! I think we Mid Atlantics need to take a collection up to buy Chris a case of those little smelly tree air fresheners. Man once the heat gets to that wet carpet, its going to smell! Send all your donations to the KJ Flood Smell Relief Fund care of WVOlllllllO.

Well it does look like you had fun! Missed you all on this trip!

Happy New Year!

Al

Great trip guys. It looks like I missed alot of fun. Sorry I didn't make it and had to cancel at the last minute. I had a family emergency and went out of town.

Chris, Sorry about the water. Almost made glad I didn't go; almost. Put me down for a donation to the air freshener fund. :P

Catch you guys at the next Paragon monthly run.

Jason

Yeah, it was a ton of fun and the scenery was gorgeous! You guys missed out! Just as a side note, the places where Chris was stuck, there were go arounds so you wouldn`t have to had go through them if you went there. Just want to make sure we don`t scare anyone off.

Man looks like a great time for sure! Where do you guys take off from to get to these trails, I have been through that area several times but where exactly is it. My wife wants to to DC soon to visit some friends and I was thinking of coming back that way to do some research ( for a time later on in the summer) Was going to run back through WV anyways so whats a few more miles?

Dave just looked at the pictures and told me I am NOT, under ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, to follow Chris when we go riding...

Thanks, Mike for that little note about the "go arounds." That will help me argue my case.

I second Al's thought about going up in the spring - it must be gorgeous then as well.

Sorry I missed the fun.

Sharon
