Let me start by claiming a high level of turbo ignorance. I think this is the bottom of my turbo and I notice that it's covered by oily gunk. I had another purpose for being behind my airbox tonight and lost light so further investigation will wait till tomorrow. If anybody has suggestions as to whether this is bad, how bad, or what I should be checking please let me know. CRD drives fine, but this much oil seems worrisome.

how much oil is that Saikou Michi Filter catching?
it looks like the oil is coming from the hose clamp.

The saikou michi filter is really just a condenser. It doesn't stop all of the oil. I still have some in the hose going to the turbo. Good call on that...sounds likely. I'll clean it and the hoses and then keep an eye on it.

Mine looks just like that, or it did. The hose clamp was a little loose so I tightened it and wiped the oil off the turbo and I haven't seen it come back yet. I hope that fixed it, let me know what you find out. Good Luck.

Don't forget - tightening the clamp and preventing the oil leak there - merely allows the oil to go further into the CAC and intake manifold.
you need to eliminate the oil going in - Provent and EHM seem successful - this seems to say the Saikou Michi isn't.

Yeah, But I will just be happy to know that the oil is coming from the CCV blow by. I hope thats all it was, and then I can do the Provent or similar.

The Saikou Michi definitely doesn't stop all the oil, but I also ran my CRD about 40K miles without it first, and have never done anything with the inlet hose. I get about a cup of oil out of the Saikou Michi after 6250 miles driven. I plan to clean it up this weekend and then watch to see how much oil I'm getting in that hose.
