OK, Got the Engine Light. What do you do to bring up the code?

Found the answer - Off, On, Off, On, Off, On, = P0038

Drew,
Hope all is well Brother.

Using your key, the function is on-off-on-off-on
then you will see the Pcode and when it is done it will say done
With out cranking the engin. one position before crank turn to then the off position.

Darn, I had the code list, but it went bye-bye when I sent out my laptop for AC plug problem and the darn HP tech somehow thought with his brilliant mind that reformatting the laptop HD would fix it.

So anyone know where I can find the engine code list online?

OK found one for Chrysler

HP tehc?
Go easy Drew, I am an HP tech. Well I am one of the better trained Techs. I do not do home based users. I am high scale tech. Servers, networks for Bank of America.

Any ways,
I am guessing that something to do with your 02 sensor and your manifold.
You should put this topic on the general posting and I am sure some one can tell you more about this code.
Maybe you will get an answer from Troy (TJKJ2002) he is the big man on here with this infomation

Drew,

As was said the codes

0032 - heater circut high voltage - is bank 1 sensor 1 (upstream or before the cat)
0038 - heater circut high voltage - is bank 1 sensor 2 (dowhstream or after the cat)

These are the left upstream and downstream sensors.

(there are 4 altogether. 2 upstream before the 2 cat's and then 2 downstream after the cats.....then the pipes converge into the single pipe/muffler.

So it appears what might have happened is that the heater circut might have malfunctioned on bank 1.....since it is all on the same side.

I am not sure what to tell you from there as I am not a mechanic. You could try to clear the codes to se if it was a momentary glitch or something. But if the code comes back then the system will need to be tested. In the meantime, you won't hurt anything driving it, but it should be checked out.

Sorry I can't be of more help. We need a real mechanic to chime in here.........where's tjkj at??

Brought the Jeep into Healey Brothers. They don't have part. Could take up to a week to get it. They offered me a loaner. But with snowstorm coming, I declined.
