WHY!!!! That JK is an amazing build, why would you get rid of it? Sell the crappy car in the garage and get out from under the payment and keep the JK. Some one needs o go by the guys house and smack him. Twice.

So sad,he wins the thing that is meant to represent pride and turns around and sells it.Plus there was only about $50,000 totally invested in that JK.

Jacksonville, FL (December 5, 2008) – Wounded Warrior Project, Chrysler-Jeep and The Arkansas Crawlers 4x4 Club are thrilled to announce the winner of the “Warrior Jeep” sweepstakes that ran from November 1, 2007 to November 16, 2008. John Mullins of Manor, Texas won the custom built 2007 JEEP JK 4-door Wrangler Rubicon valued at over $80,000.

“Wounded Warrior Project is deeply thankful for the commitment that The Arkansas Crawlers 4x4 Club have made to our organization,” stated Wounded Warrior Project Executive Director and Founder, John Melia. “The public support of this vehicle, gives a nation-wide voice to the severely wounded men and women WWP assists.”

The organization worked with Chrysler-Jeep, Superlift Suspension Systems and numerous other automotive-based companies on creating this custom vehicle for the sponsorship.

The “Warrior Jeep” was showcased at events such as the SHOT Show, the SEMA Show and dozens of other events across the country, spreading our message and increasing public awareness. 100% of ticket sales proceeds – approximately $175,000 – were donated to the Wounded Warrior Project.

I don't think he will make a quick buck on it asking $120k lol, but ya I don't think he deserved to win it, it should have gone to a wounded warrior who will take pride in it and enjoy it.

But I'll give him the benefit of doubt that maybe he is REALLY needing money right now.

plus you know any auto show that thing is entered in it will will easy! 8)

They should have given it away with stipulations that the winner keep it and show it at certain events, and wheel it as it was intended. Bummer. I doubt he get $50K for it.

Why doesn't he deserve it? He obviously made the donation to the Wounded Warrior fund which raised lots of money. I think it is great that he gave his donation and probably didn't think he would win. In any case, if you would like to get you a cool Wheelers for the Wounded Jeep then please go make a donation here...

He should have kept it. Not sold it for his gain.

When you buy something ( he bought his tickets...) it is your to do with what you want. If I buy a classic car & cut it up for a rat rod, that is my decision. My only issues is this idjit thinking that a jeep that was "valued" at $80K by using some formula to calculate the worth of the donated labor is worth $120K now. Those "value" figures are often high as they use MSRP, not actual market price, for the parts and inflated labor costs to "give something back" to the sponsers in the form of a higher tax deduction. If you check some websites, it could probably be duplicated for $55-60K "new".

But like PT Barnum said about certain birthrates....

The new build is much nicer looking. The one on craigslist is, to my eyes, kind of ugly.

BTW: Craigslist listing has been deleted. I doubt it sold. As he ha sbeen getting blasted all over the net, I'd say he pulled it down.

I agree. While it would have been nice to see it wheeled, exhibited, etc. he did win it fair and square and it's his to do with as he would. Also, as someone else mentioned, maybe he's having financial trouble and this will help him get out from under.
