I don't have pictures, but if you look at the bottom of the strut, there is a 'fork' that is bolted to the strut with 1 large bolt. The bolt clamps the fork to the bottom of the strut. Loosen that bolt. Spray some WD-40 or equivalent between the 2 parts to help loosen them up.

Now... slide the fork down a bit, I'd say no more then 1/2" down, because as you do this the strut is not fully 'seated' in the fork and you loose some of the clamping surface area. You'll see what I mean.

"Sliding the fork down" is easier said then done. I got in there with an 18" pry bar and worked it down. Problem I had was once I pry it down, it would slide back up before I was able to tighten the clamp. That was only on the driver side though, you might get lucky and they stay put when you pry it down.

Make sure both sides are spaced out evenly, and you should get almost double that amount of lift, because of the geometry of IFS.

Make sure to spray brake clean on the rotors, as you probably get greasy hand prints on them. And torque the lug nuts when you're done!!

Take a look at the kj side here in L.O.S.T.. It is under the following headings:

Quote:
KJ 4X4 DISCUSSIONS;
2002-2007 LIBERTY MODELS;
UNDER STICKY NOTES : LIBERTY LIFT FAQ / PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING

This is a discussion on some of the basics to lifting the jeep KJ but can be viewed to familiarize yourself with KK.
Granted, there are differences between the two but it is still a good reference.

There is a clevis lift how-to in the KJ section. It has pics and is very easy to follow. You shouldn't have any trouble doing it. Try it yourself. If you get stuck, just come back here and ask a question or two. Good luck!

Here is the thread I was thinking about. It is over on jeepkj.com. But a good pic and a simple instruction set.
