I like that one just can't save enough extra money for one. I got close twice now, but opted for the OME lift and new A arms.

I wonder if that hood is #3 from Terry and they have #4 ready to sell. I know last time I talked to him he had made 2 more in addtion to his and mine, and they were in his warehouse. I don't know if he ever sold them after a ton of people over at JU said they wanted them and then didn't buy them. He built #3 and #4 for people over there who commited to buy them and then backed out on him. I know he was really mad. If they are made by Terry, they are very nice. His work is outstanding. If it is a knock off, I have no idea.

Alway liked the hood but for me it would just be like a vacum cleaner, form dust to water to everything else would go in .. not good :(

I've never had any problem with water, but I'm also not traversing creeks. I haven't had problems with dirt either, but KY isn't too dusty. The hood is not really a ram air. It is a cold air hood that dumps the air over a cone filter intake. You do have to clean your filter a lot more often though.

Actually terry sold the mold to that company.

I am wondering what it would be like for snow, because it is an issue where I am living.

I've never had a problem with snow with the hood. Of course we only get a fraction of the snow here in KY that you get in Canada. I the few days we have gotten a good amount of snow since I've had it, I just brushed off the front and had no problems.

Since Terry sold the mold to them, the fit should be excellent. Just bolts on using the factory hardware. If they make it as solid as he did, most people will not even realize it is fiberglass. Before I had the brush guard, it did move slightly at high speeds because of all the air it was catching and being lighter, but not bad at all.

Considering you work with RockLizard, you might want to contact Terry. He can make just about anything. As long as you commit to enough justify making the mold and to do a run, he could probably make something you would really like. I had to wait 6 months for him to have enough materials left over from a large job to do a run of 1 for me from his mold.

Patience my son..

Seriously, though.. What is your goal with the OEM-stiyle fiberglass hood? ..Lighter weight? ..Dent resistance? ..Chick-magnet?

Get your SFA done and I will make sure you have an OEM-style fiberglass (or carbon-fiber) hood on there (cheap).
