I'm bringing my family down to Tucson for a couple of family events in early February. (We'll be there the 6th through the 15th.) We'll be staying with my brother- and sister-in-law the whole time. Ugh.

I'll be tied up with stuff on the weekends, but I'm going to be sitting around wishing for something to do Monday through Thursday.

I think I may drive my KJ down (in addition to our minivan--take advantage of low gas prices). Anyone want to hit Chiva Falls or something on one of those days? Maybe even in the afternoon, so that those who have to work could go?

I might also be able to do Saturday the 7th, if I skip my niece's birthday party  .

There is the Four Peaks Cleanup on February 7th.
From last year it was from 9AM to about 2 PM. It was organized and they even had lunch for all participants.
One of the AZ L.O.S.T. members suggested a run up the Four Peaks right after. That would take about approx two hours.
That is what I am going to try to do. It may be something for you and your family to consider.

There is a 4 Peaks thread in the Az section- It is a worth while event and quite a few LOSTers plan to be there. Last year it was a very good way to to checkout the other off road clubs and their rides!

Thanks, that sounds like fun. I'll look at that thread.

I could maybe break away and head down that way one of those weekdays. I have yet to do any of the trails down there so this would be as good a time as any.

I'm thinking now that maybe I'll leave my Jeep at the shop to get my Rock-Trac installed...

I'll try to decide soon and let you know. If I can get the TC swapped out before then I'll probably bring the KJ down.
