I pulled my front diff and halfshafts out last week. I plan on putting everything back in this weekend. I currently have the drive shaft wired up with mechanics wire underneath so that i didn't have to remove it. This won't cause any damage inside the transfer case having that stationary at higher speeds will it? I just want to make sure that I'm not causing any more damage than I'm fixing.

Since you have the front diff out the front prop shaft won't turn unless you inadvertantly try shifting to 4WD, but if it is just hanging there why not pull it out? It's only six bolts and about five minutes work since you don't have the front diff getting in the way.
