Yea, winter can be hard. We got so much snow here you can't see over the snowbanks at some of the intersections. Dangerous. My snowblower won't throw the snow over the snowbank in the back driveway any longer.

Anyway, I want to go to the Pine Barrens. What do you think?? Can we get a couple of people to go maybe??

tell me about it. The snow is good this year, BUT we could use a little bit more down this way. Not as much as normal. We are getting storms that drop 2-6" each time. Usally it's 8+ on any given storm
Well all the storms that droped 2-4" adds up whne the first storm did not get a chance to melt

Geez I'm tellin ya...we finally...FINALLY got a break from what seemed like daily snowstorms around here. It was 42 today and alot of what we had melted. Right now it's 33 and the temp is forcasted to keep falling for the next few days with more snow, lows the next few days in the single digits. But hey...I'm preaching to the choir right now.

Kinda hard to get into Jeep stuff when it's so crappy out here. I think that's why it's so quiet.

OK, OK, OK, I promise we’ll plan a Pine Barrens trip when it warms up. If you went down there now you’d run the risk of driving over ice that will break and swallow up your jeep past the windows. Not a situation I’d want to be in – it’s cold, there’d be shrinkage, and then there’s the whole, I just ruined my Jeep bit.

It’d be better to do some time after day lights savings time in the spring when it’s warmer and you get more daylight.

In the mean time do yourselves a favor and make sure you use this time to extend your breather tubes and have front and rear tow points. You don’t need skids, but personally I’d at least be sure to have a front skid since you can’t see what’s below the water and that’s the first place to get hit and the lowest point below the KJ.

As for the address it’s in Central, NJ maybe about 45 min away from Atlantic City. Do a search for Wharton State Forest, NJ and that’s where it is. Until then I have fun in snow filled parking lots.

Hey, when can we go back to Twin Arch? Is hunting season over?

i was just up there the other day. no tire marks at all.. i got stuck in one area, and my jeep slid to the left pretty hard, and almost into a tree.. i just backed out and left. it looks so fun, and i didn't even see the bit of it!!!
deer hunting season has been over for a long time now... btw.
i'm only 30 minutes from that place :)

i'd be down for a pine barren trip, i just got a transfer skid that was custom fabbed by some guy, it's pretty solid!
i have the front skid from factory, no? i could swear there is one.. i just need d clamps for the front of something as a recovery point...

how deep IS this water? i always get sketchy driving through water, although i did hit up a pit about 30 feet long, 18 inches deep. hit something under there, didn't sound good :/ this was a while ago though, like 06.

Well I'm getting a new kitchen and hallway floor installed.

I only shovel the walkway for the mailman and the sidewalk for the commuters going to the station, As to my driveway - hell that's one of the reasons I got a jeep.

Ending with frozen rain. I hate f'ing ice on top of fresh snow. It's the worst stuff to shovel.

i use a snowblower, and try to keep on top of it, so it doesnt get so bad.
if the snow's gone before the freezing rain, then there's no ice on top of snow..

Then you end up with solid black ice on the ground. That's much worst.
