Hey guys, I had my transfer case replaced by a Jeep dealer several months ago, and have had it back twice due to leakage. I just found out today that it is leaking again! I'm going to give the dealer one more shot, and hopefully they can get it right.

I am slightly concerned about driving it while low on fluid. If I strictly use 2wd, will this still harm the transfer case?

Where is it leaking? Pic?

If you run the t-case low on fluid it will do harm to it even in 2wd.

Where is it leaking from? Maybe they messed up a gasket or seal on the rebuild?

I can't tell by crawling under it. I need to take a look when they put it up on the lift. I'll try to snap a few pics. Thanks for the tips.

Well if they replaced the t-case with a new one the only place I can see leaking is the t-case to t-case adapter which RTV is just used.To properly fix the t-case needs to be removed again, clean the surfaces and reapply the RTV and let sit for at least 30mins before adding the fluid and running the vehicle.

that makes sense. I'm sure the dealer doesn't like to wait the full 30 minutes when they could get a caravan on the lift.
