This whole country is spinning in the bowl as we type. Just waiting on Obama to pull the lever.

Time won't have to do anything. We'll be living it soon.

The USSA....United Socialist States of America.

It's coming at a rapid pace folks.

It gets better.

They deleted language from the "stimulus" bill renewing E-Verify - the governmet's online system where employers can check to see if potential employees are in this country legally - such that the program will expire in March.

The US Chamber of Commerce (those guys really should change their name) lobbied to let it die, saying it "placed an unfair burden on employers and was too difficult to use" - even though over 100,000 businesses already use it voluntarily. Guess it's just too much trouble complying with the law, at least when it comes to cheap labor.

So in effect, those million or so construction jobs that are supposedly going to be created by this stimulus bill, paid for with our taxes, are essentially going to be reserved for the same illegals that held them before.

I remember a slightly different saying about "change" - "the more things change, the more they stay the same".

OK, soapbox rant off and back to discussing Chrysler's woes.

$7.5 (9%) billion will go to Water, so the tank can be filled to flush Chrysler, Sewers so Chrysler has a place to go, and Waste Water Plants so Chrysler does not pollute the environment.

I guess the other 3% of the Stimulus Bill will go to the Bridges so we can drive our Jeeps through the pot holes.

The other 88% are the for filled wishes of our elected officials.

Better get my custom trans skid plate built to handle my extra deep PML pan.

I'm biting my tongue here guys....

It's not a democrat or republican thing.

The Dems have had control in Congress for the last four years, and Hillary, Barack, San Fran Nan, and the rest of the liberals were all apart of it.

No politician from the last decade can stand up and say they had the right idea. Too much corruption. Too many payoffs. Too much pork.

The republicans spent like drunken sailors (with the help of the dems) and we're in the toilet....so the answer is to SPEND MORE?!? Oh yeah, that will work.

the stim package is what argentina did that turned argentina into one of the most bankrupt and poor countries in the world when it used to be one of the richest.

the stim package doesnt go into effect until 2011 when most of the economist agree we'll be out of the ditch by then regardless

and finally..

if the stim package were to be simply given to each and every citizen, everyone would get 2700 dollars a head, i don't know if that includes persons under 18 or not

stuff like this happens when countries go through industrial revolutions (ie: china)

the entire world is experiencing it, britain is borderline bankrupt as well, i suppose the republicans did that too?

i hate politics, all i wanna do is jeepjeepjeep

Well hold on to your Jeeps boys cause if your roads start deteriorating you'll need the Jeep to commute that's if a redistribution of wealth policy is introduced and your transportation infrastructure goes for a ball of crap

He shot him self in the back of the neck with a 22 long fired out of a 38 cal revolver.
I wish the rest had his talent.

BTW: Japan tried the spend and tax them selves into prosperity for 16 years with no success.
When they cut taxes things turned around.
